I went to Somalia with 1st Platoon, Aco. 1/22INF, Ft. Drum, NY. We spent roughly 4 and 1/2 months there and during our time there our platoon got chosen for 3 combat missions.

These missions are shadowed now by BlackHack Down. The action we saw was a raid on Adide's radio retrans site, we were the first Soldiers to help the Pakistanians when they

were ambushed, and there was the raid on the Abdi house who was one of Adide's top men. We also performed several cordon and searches resulting in several weapons found

and confiscated.

and a whole bunch of screw ups. We performed our missions flawlessly, and yes, they were all very dangerous missions. I want to make this site more than just a site of what I did in

Somalia, but in order to do that I need information from others.
